Experience the Victorian Era of steam machines and science fiction for a special Steampunk event in the White Mountains.
Based on the story of The Cog’s inventor Sylvester Marsh’s desire to build a railroad to Mount Washington’s summit in the late 1800’s, which a New Hampshire State Legislator nicknamed “Railway to the Moon.” Ride the Steampunk steam train at 3:30 pm to the top of Mount Washington. (Limited seating, call 603.278.5404 for reservations.) Meet Sylvester Marsh and his wife, learn about steam engines, and cycling in the mountains in the 1890’s. Visit Benjamin West Kilburn, the stereoscopic photographer from the 1800’s, join the Steampunk fashion show, and see the new Cog Railway museum and more!
